KERALA UNDER EPIDEMIC THREAT, TIME TO TAKE PREVENTIVE MEASURES

Kerala is at the risk of epidemics following the biggest flood this century, thousands of people who have been diagnosed with the symptoms of leptospirosis and are seeking immediate. With the floods come another problem that could be more devastating than the immediate effects they bring. Hence, special care must be taken for health care; Especially during the first three months after the flood. Leptospirosis

Leptospirosis is a rare bacterial infection we get from animals. It's spread through their urine, especially from dogs, rodents, and farm animals. Chlorination of drinking water sources must be done. Use only boiled water to drink, and ensure fruits and vegetables are washed in fresh water.

Use food that is cooked well and cover them and do not eat stale foods.

Keep the cooking area clean. Keep the storage area for food clean.
